Position overview
The Confidential Client is hiring a Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects (roadway, utility, site development) in Tennessee, AR. This role focuses on planning, design oversight, permitting, construction support, client and utility coordination, and day-to-day project control to deliver safe, cost-effective projects on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation for infrastructure projects.
- Lead design coordination and manage deliverables (plans, profiles, details) using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
- Perform engineering analyses to confirm proper sizing and functioning of utility and drainage systems.
- Prepare and submit permits to local, state, and federal agencies; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide construction support: respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, conduct site visits and document construction progress.
- Coordinate with utility companies and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and integrate new infrastructure with existing systems.
- Maintain client communication to align scope, expectations, and deliverables.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and project staff; contribute to process and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Enforce safety, quality, and documentation standards across project teams.
Required experience & qualifications
- Experience: Entry-level to senior experience managing infrastructure projects including roadway, utility, and site development.
- Project delivery: Familiarity with design-bid-build, design-build and other delivery methods.
- Project controls: Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contract documents and project resources.
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder coordination.
- Legal/driver requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to operate company vehicle.
- Employment checks: Must pass drug screening and criminal background check; random drug screens during employment.
Education & certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee preferred.
- Completion of P.A.C.E. certification within 90 days of employment.
- Industry certifications desirable: Asphalt, Concrete, Erosion Control, Earthwork, OSHA10.
Technical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
- ESRI GIS skills preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, specifications and drawings.
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
Work environment
This role combines office collaboration with fieldwork. In-person attendance is required for meetings and project work; hybrid arrangements may be considered in the future with supervisor approval.
Compensation (source estimate)
- Estimated pay: $87,276 per year (estimated figure provided by the source).
