Compensation

This position offers a base salary range of $80,926 - $105,000 per year. This range is provided to comply with pay transparency and to help candidates evaluate fit. Actual pay will be determined by experience, location, and other lawful factors.


What You’ll Do

The Project Manager I will own small to mid-sized electrical construction projects or defined scopes within larger projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Independently manage assigned projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring alignment with contract, schedule, and budget
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, short-term lookaheads, and coordination plans with field leadership
  • Track project costs, monitor commitments, labor productivity, and support financial forecasting
  • Prepare, submit, and manage change orders and support negotiation within defined authority
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for timely, compliant execution
  • Manage procurement activities including material buyouts, purchase orders, and long-lead tracking
  • Oversee documentation flow including RFIs, submittals, logs, and correspondence
  • Manage owner billing processes such as AIA pay applications and lien waivers
  • Participate in client and contractor meetings; communicate project status, risks, and mitigations
  • Identify project risks; implement solutions or escalate as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies
  • Support closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning coordination, and final turnover

Who We’re Looking For

A technically grounded, organized early-career project manager who can manage multiple priorities and interact effectively with field teams and clients in electrical construction and mission-critical environments.

  • Strong communicator who can coordinate field and office stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation, schedule adherence, and cost controls
  • Proactive problem-solver able to make sound decisions within defined authority
  • Comfortable using construction/project software (Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, etc.)

Requirements & Qualifications

Education and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • OSHA 10 required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CPR/First Aid and basic NFPA 70E familiarity preferred but not required
  • Entry-level project management training (CAPM or equivalent) is a plus

Experience

  • 1–3 years construction, project coordination, or related experience; electrical construction experience preferred
  • Exposure to RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control
  • Basic experience with project cost tracking, AIA billing, and budget monitoring
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, or similar tools

Supervisory

  • No direct supervisory headcount required; provides day-to-day coordination and guidance to subcontractors, vendors, and support personnel

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and active construction jobsite work, including commercial, industrial, and mission-critical/data center environments
  • Regular site visits; exposure to noise, dust, heights, and weather conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must use required PPE when on-site
  • Travel to local or regional sites may be required

Employment Type & Schedule

  • Full-time, exempt
  • Typical Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility required to meet project demands
  • Occasional early starts, extended days, evenings, or weekends may be needed
  • This role is classified exempt and not eligible for overtime pay under applicable law

  • Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam (or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Mobile devices for field coordination and documentation
