Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Project Manager / Principal Project Manager to serve as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) supporting the Ground Systems team. This is an onsite, full-time role based in Eau Gallie, FL. The CAM will oversee cost, schedule, and status reporting for program efforts, act as a liaison between execution teams and business management, and drive compliance with Earned Value Management and other project controls processes.


What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and maintain cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for projects and product lines.
  • Align cost plans with business objectives, market conditions, and program strategies.
  • Monitor actual expenditures vs. budgets; identify and investigate variances.
  • Produce regular cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for program leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Identify cost-related risks (price volatility, supply chain impacts) and develop mitigation plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineering, procurement, and finance to gather data and align cost objectives.
  • Communicate cost implications for design changes, schedule shifts, and scope adjustments.
  • Use project controls tools to monitor progress and support problem-solving and corrective actions.
  • Support Earned Value Management implementation and reporting as the Cost Account Manager.

Basic Qualifications — Project Management

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional or military experience in project management OR Master’s degree in a related field (no specific project‑management experience required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management or in a cost-management/planning or scheduling role.
  • Active U.S. government Secret clearance (investigation completed within last 6 years) OR ability to attain/maintain a Top Secret clearance and program access (PAR) within a reasonable time as required by program needs.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions needing government clearance.

Basic Qualifications — Principal Project Management

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional or military experience in project management OR Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional or military experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management or supporting cost/schedule management functions.
  • Active U.S. government Secret clearance (investigation completed within last 6 years) OR ability to attain/maintain a Top Secret clearance and program access (PAR) within a reasonable time as required by program needs.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions needing government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAM certification or equivalent program cost-account experience.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience supporting Agile planning/execution.
  • 2+ years in a general business environment with preference for project management, program integration, or administrative support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with all organizational levels, including senior leaders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; experienced with Excel modeling and executive reporting.
  • Proficient with Atlassian Confluence and Jira, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Proven success managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting to rapid change.
  • Ability to work independently: self-prioritizing and maintaining consistent cadence.
  • Additional military project-management experience (4+ years) will be viewed favorably.

Location, Work Type & Travel

  • Location: Onsite — Eau Gallie, FL (full-time).
  • Travel: Approximately 10% travel may be required.

Clearance & Eligibility

  • This role requires an active U.S. government Secret clearance (investigation within the last 6 years) or the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance and program access (PAR) as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions that require government clearance.

Salary & Benefits

  • Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00 (annual).
  • Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00 (annual).

These ranges are intended as general guidelines. Final base salary offers are determined by scope, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary or annual bonuses, retirement/savings plans, health insurance, life/disability insurance, paid time off, and other benefits as provided by Confidential Client.
