What You’ll Do
This entry-level Project Manager I supports delivery of regulatory-driven ecological restoration projects from concept through field implementation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assist Senior Project Managers with project budgeting, scheduling, and milestone tracking
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (scientists, engineers, construction professionals, subcontractors)
- Maintain and organize project documentation, permits, and compliance records
- Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) to monitor timelines and tasks
- Support scope, risk, and change tracking and reporting
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and support field crews (fieldwork and travel typically 25–50%)
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, partners, and subcontractors to keep work aligned
Who You Are / Minimum Qualifications
You should have many of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, construction management, or a related applied field
- 3+ years of experience in an applied science, restoration, or construction role
- Comfort with basic budgeting, scheduling, and project financial terms
- Experience with project scheduling and setting timelines/milestones (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Basic understanding of scope management and ability to review project plans, maps, and technical specs
- Prior environmental regulatory experience (permits, compliance) or exposure to wetlands/mitigation permitting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences
