What You’ll Do

This entry-level Project Estimator role supports a confidential client’s estimating team in Juno Beach, FL. You will prepare cost estimates across a broad portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects, support value-engineering efforts, and help maintain estimating tools and databases. This is a hands-on position with strong growth and learning opportunities in engineering estimating.

  • Prepare detailed conceptual, preliminary, and definitive project cost estimates
  • Perform conceptual engineering and develop preliminary plans to quantify scope
  • Gather and analyze specifications, drawings, and vendor information with engineering and procurement partners
  • Run value engineering exercises to identify cost savings while protecting project requirements
  • Build and maintain estimation tools, pricing models, and cost databases
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish contingency approaches
  • Present cost estimates and options to senior stakeholders and project teams
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Familiarity with common construction/installation methods, materials, and equipment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented and able to take direction from senior estimating/engineering staff
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in project estimating

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or practical experience in engineering, construction management, or estimating
  • Experience with cost-estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX or similar)
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Exposure to energy and infrastructure technologies such as wind, utility-scale solar, distributed solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution, substations, water treatment, fiber/5G, hydrogen, pipelines, or fossil generation
