Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Project Engineer (entry-level) to join an Engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who enjoy problem solving, working with data to support decisions, and collaborating across project teams. You will support day-to-day project coordination on construction projects, help maintain document control, and assist with quality, safety, and equipment management.


What You’ll Do

  • Document control: manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and related project records
  • Support daily project coordination with the project team and subcontractors
  • Assist procurement of construction materials and track deliveries
  • Perform Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks on-site and document findings
  • Help coordinate subcontractor activities and on-site logistics
  • Support survey and project layout tasks and capture weekly progress photos
  • Assist with managing construction equipment and materials on site
  • Support safety management and adherence to site safety plans
  • Contribute to project estimating and cost tracking as directed

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience, internships or co-ops considered
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites and collaborating with field teams
  • Ability to use basic construction documentation and record-keeping tools; familiarity with RFIs/submittals is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate or travel for specific project assignments, if required

Compensation & Employment Details

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Estimated base pay: $107,703 per year (estimated) — may vary based on experience, location, and skills
  • This role may be eligible for bonus and benefits depending on the hiring client’s program
  • Specific roles may require relocation
