Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Project Engineer to support construction projects in Springdale, AR. This role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with administrative and technical responsibilities that keep projects on schedule, on budget, and well documented. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent), 0–2 years of related experience, and strong attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with delegated administrative and technical tasks.
- Maintain accurate project documentation — drawings, specifications, submittals, transmittals, and correspondence.
- Update project logs and databases to track progress, changes, and submittals.
- Assist in writing and reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure scope, provisions, and amounts are correct.
- Prepare and maintain submittal logs; track submittals from pre-approval through final delivery.
- Support development and maintenance of overall and short-term schedules; make regular site visits to verify work and schedule compliance.
- Receive, evaluate, and distribute correspondence, RFIs, directives, and clarifications between Owner, Architect, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
- Help maintain cost records and track subcontractor/self-perform work to support billing.
- When directed, assist in obtaining permits and collecting record documentation (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in construction management or construction trades (entry-level friendly).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with submittal processes, procurement planning, and construction sequencing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining project files and logs.
- Basic math skills (geometry, trigonometry, algebra) and working knowledge of standard office software.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Willingness to make regular site visits and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to moving machinery, high places, confined spaces, fumes/airborne particles, loud noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
- May require long hours during critical phases of a project; occasional mental stress when managing multiple tasks.

Compensation
- Estimated salary: $50,234 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will be determined by Confidential Client and may depend on experience and qualifications.
