About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring a Project Engineer to support a large hyperscale data center construction program in Port Washington, WI. This role sits on the project team and helps coordinate electrical construction activities across planning, procurement, field execution, and turnover. It’s a strong early-career to mid-level opportunity for candidates wanting hands-on experience in mission‑critical electrical systems and data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction activities.
- Support procurement: material tracking, equipment releases, vendor coordination.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and general project documentation.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Maintain accurate project records, meeting minutes, reports, and cost tracking.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Support estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control.
- Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities for electrical systems.
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
- Help ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and electrical codes.
- Assist in resolving field issues, design conflicts, and constructability concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1–5 years of construction experience preferred.
- Internship or project experience with electrical contractors, general contractors, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or data centers is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on electrical construction projects valued at $10M+.
- Knowledge of medium-voltage distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and mission‑critical infrastructure.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, or similar tools.
- Exposure to commissioning and startup activities.
- Prior work on data centers, semiconductor facilities, manufacturing plants, or other mission‑critical environments.

Pay & Benefits
- Pay range: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 (as listed in the source).
- Individual compensation within this range depends on qualifications, experience, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
