What You’ll Do
This role supports project administration and coordination for marine construction and underwater services work in Norfolk, VA. You will work closely with project management and field teams to keep project documentation, schedules, budgets, and compliance on track.
- Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation: contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, change orders, daily reports, compliance logs, and close-out packages.
- Track, log, and escalate RFIs and submittals to ensure timely responses and minimize project delays.
- Administer change order workflows: prepare, track, coordinate pricing, and manage approvals.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready project files and correspondence in accordance with client and contract requirements.
- Support project startup and close-out activities including punchlists, as-built documentation, warranties, final invoicing, and turnover documentation.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on project administration matters.
- Anticipate upcoming milestones, reporting deadlines, and documentation needs and act proactively to reduce risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Building Science, or equivalent.
- Entry-level to 2 years of experience in construction administration, contract administration, project coordination, or project management support.
- Solid understanding of the construction project lifecycle from preconstruction through close-out.
- Familiarity with standard construction contract documents; exposure to AIA contracts and FAR/DFARS is a plus.
- Proficiency with construction management platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with AutoCAD, Adobe, and DocuSign preferred.
- Experience or interest in federal, municipal, marine, heavy civil, or industrial construction projects preferred.
- High attention to detail while keeping sight of broader project priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain federal installation access credentials.

- Estimated salary: $101,569 per year (estimated).
