Position Overview

The Confidential Client is building a pipeline for Project Engineer (entry-level) roles in Norfolk Downs, MA. This position supports day-to-day field operations on active construction projects and is ideal for recent graduates or candidates beginning a career in construction management or civil engineering. The Project Engineer partners with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and trade partners to help deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update field logs, daily reports, and project documentation
  • Assist with tracking RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Organize and archive project drawings, specifications, and meeting decks
  • Support superintendents coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries
  • Monitor on-site work for compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards
  • Conduct site walks to verify quality, document progress, and identify potential issues
  • Assist with layout, surveying, and quantity take-offs
  • Review shop drawings and specifications to support field activities
  • Help troubleshoot field issues through collaboration with design and project teams
  • Promote and enforce company and OSHA safety standards; report and document hazards
  • Support project meetings (prepare materials, document outcomes) and communicate with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is a plus
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset

Compensation & Benefits

The Confidential Client provides a competitive compensation package.

  • Estimated salary range: $55,000–$85,000 annually (good-faith estimate; final offer depends on experience, skills, and market factors)
