What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Project Engineer to support mixed‑use and mid‑rise commercial construction projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

• Coordinate and manage project documentation: submittal logs, material tracking, test & inspection records, RFIs, non-conformance reports, and contract documents.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and details for field teams and subcontractors.
• Support implementation of preconstruction and construction quality plans and the three-phase inspection process.
• Assist with permit tracking, fee coordination, and project closeout deliverables (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties).
• Set up and maintain the submittal register; coordinate submittal preparation and approvals with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Draft, track, and distribute RFIs and change documentation; help incorporate as-built information into project records.
• Support daily field coordination, constructability reviews, schedule tracking, and jobsite safety documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help mentor entry-level engineers when appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and team success.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 0–3 years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction (including internships or co-op experience).

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This role requires frequent jobsite visits and the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and lift on active construction sites (with or without reasonable accommodation). Expect exposure to outdoor weather, noise, dust, uneven terrain, and work in both field and office settings.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $97,000 per year plus annual bonus potential.
