Confidential Client is hiring a Project Engineer I — Mechanical & HVAC Construction (Full‑time, Hybrid) in Denver, CO.
- Pay: $28–$32 per hour

How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Project Engineer I you’ll support Project Managers to keep mechanical and HVAC projects on schedule and on budget. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate project documentation (submittals, RFIs, change orders) to maintain smooth workflows.
- Review mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications for contract compliance.
- Work closely with project managers, field superintendents, and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
- Track procurement and logistics to ensure materials and specialized HVAC equipment arrive as scheduled.
- Troubleshoot design/field discrepancies and propose practical technical solutions.
- Attend site visits and project meetings (expect ~40% travel to job sites).
Required Qualifications
- Education or early-career experience in mechanical, HVAC, engineering, construction management, or commercial construction.
- Proficient at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% for site support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Internship, co-op, or early experience in commercial/industrial mechanical construction.
- Exposure to manufacturer training, industrial HVAC controls, or formal safety training.
