How You'll Make an Impact

You will support Project Managers to keep commercial and industrial mechanical/HVAC projects on schedule and within contract requirements. This entry-level Project Engineer role is an excellent pathway into project management within mechanical construction; contributions will directly affect the Confidential Client’s project delivery and growth.

  • Coordinate project documentation (submittals, RFI logs, change orders) to keep workflows efficient.
  • Review mechanical blueprints, equipment schedules, and specifications for contract compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain timelines.
  • Track procurement and ensure materials and specialized HVAC equipment arrive on schedule.
  • Help resolve field design conflicts and discrepancies with technical solutions.
  • Attend site visits and project meetings — role requires up to 40% travel across project locations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education or early-career experience in mechanical, HVAC, engineering, construction management, or commercial construction.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% to project sites.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (field + office).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Internship, co-op, or early career experience in commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer training, industrial HVAC control systems, or formal safety protocols.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $28–$32 per hour.
  • Full-time position with weekly pay cycle.
