Position summary

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I (Fuel Systems) to support Phase 6 production activities. This role focuses on planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering tasks related to aircraft fuel systems, working under senior project engineering leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.


What you’ll do

  • Support project planning, track progress, and help drive on-time delivery for small-to-medium product development activities.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to develop and improve aircraft fuel systems and related processes.
  • Prepare work packages, cost estimates, schedules, and milestone plans.
  • Coordinate with technical leads, program managers, suppliers, and manufacturing to meet project specifications.
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and status updates using project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Participate in technical reviews, troubleshooting, and investigations to support design decisions.
  • Work under the direction of senior/lead project engineers with assignments designed to build project management and product knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality-control activities.

Must have (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technology, or mathematics from an accredited institution.
  • 0–2 years of engineering experience; internship or co-op experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn discipline-specific technical software and CAD/design tools.
  • Authorized to work full-time in the United States (no visa sponsorship available for this role).

  • Experience with Mathcad or Matlab and 3D solid-modeling CAD systems.
  • Hands-on exposure to design, development, evaluation, or quality-control techniques.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong troubleshooting, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently, and ownership of tasks.
  • Prior experience working in cross-functional teams and managing small projects.
  • Demonstrated academic achievement (3.0 GPA+), extracurricular leadership, or relevant project experience.

Compensation & benefits

  • Estimated salary: $86,076 per year (estimated).
  • Relocation package available for qualified candidates.

Location & work model
