Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Project Engineer to join their Data Center group in Goodyear, AZ. This hands-on, full-time role supports construction and commissioning activities for data center projects. The ideal candidate is a practical problem solver who uses data to make recommendations, enjoys collaborating across teams, and balances relationship building with driving production on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims)
• Assist and support the project team with daily coordination
• Procure construction materials and manage vendor interactions
• Perform quality control / quality assurance checks on work in progress
• Coordinate subcontractors and on-site crews
• Conduct survey and project layout tasks
• Capture weekly progress photos and prepare clear progress updates
• Manage construction equipment and site logistics
• Oversee site safety practices and corrective actions
• Support project estimating and review cost documentation
• Inspect project sites and verify work meets specifications

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in construction or engineering support roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Internship, co-op, or prior project-based experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read construction drawings and basic survey/layout familiarity
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working on-site and traveling as project needs require
• Must be able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
