Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Project Engineer to support projects across the Chicago region. This is an early-career, full‑time engineering role focused on construction project coordination, document control, quality checks, estimating, and field support. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to help deliver safe, on‑time, high‑quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims)
• Support daily project coordination and team communications
• Assist with procurement of construction materials
• Perform Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordinate subcontractor activities on site
• Support survey and project layout tasks
• Capture weekly progress photos and update reports
• Help manage construction equipment inventory and logistics
• Support site safety management and compliance
• Assist with project estimating and cost tracking

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience (internship, co‑op or full‑time experience welcomed)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working both in the field and with office/project teams
• Ability to learn construction processes, document control, and basic estimating
• Willingness to relocate for specific roles, if required

Compensation & Benefits

• Anticipated base pay range: $75,000 – $78,000 per year. Actual pay will be based on experience, skills, education, location, and business needs.
• This role may be eligible for bonus opportunities and other benefits available to Confidential Client employees.
• The posted salary range complies with applicable pay‑transparency requirements for this location.

Location & Travel

• Job location: Chicago, IL (work within the Chicagoland region). Specific assignments may require travel between project sites and occasional relocation for certain roles.
