What You’ll Do

The Project Engineer will support the project delivery team on commercial construction projects by managing documentation, coordinating subcontractors, tracking costs and schedules, and assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent to keep work progressing safely and on budget.

  • Assist Project Manager with submittals, RFIs, drawings and project documentation
  • Prepare and track subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and proposals for approval
  • Solicit and qualify subcontractor bids and confirm scopes of work
  • Maintain project logs (RFI log, submittal log, change order log) and support document control
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent to resolve site needs and develop/manage punch lists
  • Monitor production and cost tracking; support forecasting and schedule updates
  • Communicate with clients and project stakeholders as directed
  • Use project scheduling software to support planning and status reporting
  • Promote and follow construction safety protocols on job sites

What We’re Looking For

This is an entry-level to early-career role intended to grow into a Project Manager position. Ideal candidates will demonstrate construction knowledge, attention to detail, and a desire to advance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Construction Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documents
  • Experience or familiarity with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Understanding of construction safety practices and site coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
  • Comfortable with field visits and collaborative problem solving
