What You’ll Do
The Project Employee, Event Operations provides project and hands-on operational support for live events and league activities. This entry-level role helps plan, coordinate and execute event logistics, maintain project documentation and support adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Support project planning, maintain timelines, trackers and staffing grids to help ensure event readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and track action items, risks and dependencies.
- Help evaluate, test and adopt project management tools and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows.
- Maintain centralized documentation and dashboards using platforms such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Provide onsite operational support across transportation, venue operations, hotels, shipping & logistics and related functions.
- Assist with load-in/load-out, inventory tracking and real-time issue resolution during events.
- Support meetings and working sessions by documenting decisions and tracking follow-through on deliverables.
- Recommend process improvements and opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
Responsibilities (Areas of Focus)
Transportation
- Support transportation manifests, schedules, routing and movement tracking.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders; provide onsite transportation support when needed.
Venues
- Assist with space management, signage, credentialing and load-in/load-out coordination.
- Conduct back-of-house tours and coordinate venue readiness with partners.
Hotels
- Support rooming lists, meeting/function space needs and onsite hotel issue resolution.
Shipping & Logistics
- Track inbound/outbound shipments, maintain shipping trackers and support distribution of event assets.
Systems, Technology & Process Improvement
- Support day-to-day use of event systems and collaboration tools.
- Assist with testing and implementing new technologies and AI tools.
- Create and maintain templates, trackers and dashboards that provide operational visibility.
Event Preparation & Onsite Operations
- Support pre-event planning, onsite execution and post-event recaps.
- Provide flexible, hands-on assistance during events and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Interest or experience in events, operations, hospitality, sports, entertainment or related fields.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills; exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and collaboration tools (Teams).
- Curiosity about new technologies, including AI and project management platforms.
- Willingness to provide hands-on support and adapt responsibilities based on event needs.
Preferred
- Experience supporting live events, production, or fast-paced operational environments.
- Familiarity with transportation, venue operations, shipping/logistics and vendor coordination.
- Experience building or maintaining trackers, dashboards and project plans.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk and move throughout venues for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $32 / Hour.
- Employment type: Full time.
