About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Project Coordinator to support new product development and ongoing customer projects in a manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to RFQs, quoting, tooling, sampling, production launch, ERP systems, and cross-functional coordination. Comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
What You’ll Do
- Support and coordinate projects from RFQ/quotation through tooling, sampling, customer approval, production launch, and delivery.
- Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, artwork, packaging requirements, and related documentation to identify required inputs and action items.
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to gather pricing, tooling details, material specifications, cycle times, capacity, lead times, and other quotation inputs.
- Prepare and maintain project timelines; follow up on milestones, approvals, and open items to keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate tooling development, prototypes, color and decoration samples, packaging samples, and related approvals.
- Communicate project status, schedule changes, risks, and outstanding questions to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate artwork, Pantone colors, labels, packaging, and customer-specific requirements.
- Support engineering and production during new product introduction, process validation, and production startup.
- Maintain accurate project records, quotations, specifications, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain on materials, purchase orders, production schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Assist in meetings by documenting decisions, action items, owners, and due dates; follow up on outstanding items.
- Identify potential schedule or project risks early and escalate appropriately.
- Support documentation control, recordkeeping, and audit-readiness activities as needed.
- Support continuous improvement and special projects as business needs evolve.
- Comply with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- This is an entry-level to early-career position; recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, Communications, or a related field preferred — equivalent experience considered.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, technical terminology, ERP systems, and business procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
- Professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and provide support outside core duties when needed.
Preferred (not required):
- Experience with ERP software (e.g., NetSuite).
- Exposure to manufacturing, injection molding, tooling, packaging, purchasing, customer service, or product development.
- Internship, co-op, project coordination, or administrative experience.
Position Details
- Employment type: Full-time (Contractor classification may apply depending on assignment; refer to posting specifics).
- Location: On-site in Karns, TN (Confidential Client facility).
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday.
- Reports to Project Management or Business Operations leadership.
Compensation
- Estimated base: $47,007 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and applicable state/local laws. Where required by law, pay transparency will be observed.
