What You’ll Do

This entry-level Project Analyst role supports project reporting and analytics for utility distribution design and related infrastructure projects. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Assist with collecting, validating, and maintaining project data and databases.
  • Produce regular reports, KPI summaries, and dashboards for project managers and operations teams.
  • Identify trends and variances in project performance and surface actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Quickbase, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Support standardization of reporting processes and documentation of metrics definitions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (project managers, engineers, operations) to ensure data integrity and timely reporting.
  • Help implement process improvements that increase visibility into schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and support decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, project coordination, project controls, business operations, or a related function.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data organization).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred / nice-to-have

  • Experience with Quickbase, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Smartsheet, ArcGIS, Alteryx, or similar analytics/reporting platforms.
  • Exposure to utility, engineering, construction, telecommunications, or infrastructure project workflows.
  • Experience developing dashboards, tracking KPIs, or supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with electric utility or power distribution operations.
