Role overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Project Analyst to join its real estate investment advisory team in Chicago, IL. This full-time, exempt position supports portfolio strategy, asset management, capital markets, acquisitions and dispositions, financial modeling and reporting. You will work closely with senior advisors and client stakeholders to deliver clear financial analysis that informs investment decisions.

What you’ll do

• Support real estate investment advisory work including portfolio strategy, investment analysis, asset positioning, benchmarking, and asset management
• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts using Argus and Excel
• Prepare concise financial reports and presentations that translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations
• Assist with project budgeting, acquisitions, dispositions, development advisory, due diligence, entitlements, and feasibility analysis
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to gather inputs and present findings to senior leadership
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on ad hoc analyses and deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Development, Finance or related field
• Academic success, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred
• Understanding of real estate investment and finance analytics
• Experience supporting development or construction projects is a plus
• Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Argus and financial modeling preferred
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except where the confidential client has identified limited bilingual exceptions

• Location: Chicago, IL (Chicago Riverside Plaza)
• Employment type: Full time, exempt
• Salary: $75,000 per year (Chicago, IL)
• Travel: This role may require local, national, and occasional international travel
