What You’ll Do
The Project Administrator – National Accounts supports national account project execution by performing accurate order entry, documentation control, and task tracking under the direction of Project Coordinators and Team Leads. This entry-level role is designed to build project, ERP, and customer-portal experience while ensuring timely, documented delivery for large customers.
- Execute administrative and order-entry tasks accurately and on time following standard operating procedures
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and tracking across ERP and project tools
- Prepare and verify data for Project Coordinators; flag and escalate discrepancies
- Review and confirm customer material requests with guidance to ensure order accuracy prior to processing
- Manage a queue of customer requests, prioritize work, and coordinate with team members to meet deadlines
- Use client-specific web portals for data access and entry while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
- Verify material pricing and flag mismatches relative to customer agreements
- Build product knowledge (lighting/electrical) and cross-reference materials/specs through training and desktop research
- Assist with warranty/material claims documentation and customer communications
- Participate in training to develop system proficiency, material knowledge, and customer-service skills
- Collaborate with teammates and support team goals by jumping in where needed
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in administrative, operations support, customer service, or project support roles
- Experience in structured office or hybrid environments supporting defined workflows and deadlines
- Exposure to order entry, data validation, documentation management, or customer-request handling preferred
- Experience supporting internal teams by managing tasks, tracking status, and following established processes
- Background in electrical distribution, lighting, construction, facilities, or trade-adjacent environments is a plus

Education & Technical Skills
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Comfortable learning ERP systems, project-tracking tools, and client-specific web portals
- Electrical trade exposure or field experience valued when paired with office execution experience
- Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience will be considered
Essential Job Functions & Work Conditions
- Occasionally lift/carry office materials up to 20 pounds
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk; occasional walking or moving between departments
- Regular reaching, keyboarding, filing, and use of hands/fingers for office tasks
- Close vision required for reading documents and using a computer
- Communicate clearly by phone, in-person, and virtually
- Work primarily in a professional office environment; occasional visits to warehouse or other facilities
- PPE generally not required; may be needed in specific locations (e.g., closed-toe shoes, high-visibility vest)
