Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Program Supervisor to join their Healthcare & Nursing team in Newark, DE. This hands-on supervisory role supports daily program operations, staff development, and quality care for people served. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safe, person-centered services.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and performance feedback to assigned staff.
  • Verify staff attendance and ensure active treatment/support is delivered to people served.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels; coordinate temporary or alternate staffing when necessary.
  • Confirm materials and adaptive equipment needs are in place for program activities.
  • Document incidents, follow reporting procedures, and use crisis intervention skills when required.
  • Support staff development: lead orientation, ensure completion of required training, and promote ongoing learning.
  • Work with program management to implement strategies that reduce staff turnover.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Labor regulations related to persons served.
  • Serve as a positive role model and foster a respectful, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if program needs require.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as determined by the agency’s insurance policy.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to document accurately and follow policy and regulatory requirements.
