Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Program Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of a community program in Glasgow, DE. This is a full-time, permanent, entry-level supervisory role focused on staff supervision, active treatment delivery, compliance, and program quality. Estimated pay: $77,645 per year (estimated).


What you’ll do

The Program Supervisor is responsible for supervising direct support staff and ensuring high-quality services for persons served. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide supervision, coaching, training, performance feedback and evaluation for assigned staff.
  • Verify staff attendance and ensure staff deliver active treatment and program services.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels; arrange temporary or alternate staffing as needed.
  • Assess needs for adaptive equipment and coordinate recommendations with management.
  • Ensure materials and program supplies are in place at the start and throughout shifts.
  • Document incidents and use crisis intervention skills when required.
  • Lead staff development: program orientation, mandated training completion, and ongoing skill development.
  • Partner with management to implement strategies to reduce turnover and improve retention.
  • Conduct visits/inspections to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DOL regulations and other relevant standards.
  • Serve as a positive role model and promote a culture of safety and respect.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum qualifications and expectations:

  • Education: Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of supervisory experience; experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (including possible evenings/weekends as program needs require).
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the client’s policy.
  • Strong communication, coaching and crisis-intervention skills.
  • Commitment to person-centered supports and to promoting dignity and independence for people served.

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, related experience and/or education may be substituted for specified requirements.
