What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst to own schedule development, analysis, and tracking for engineering programs based in San Diego, CA. You will partner with program leadership and cross-functional teams to produce integrated master schedules, identify schedule risk, and drive on-time delivery.
- Prepares, develops, and coordinates the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives
- Ensure schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
- Track schedule progress, perform schedule and risk analyses, and identify/resolve critical-path and logic conflicts
- Use Gantt charts, PERT, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and other project-management tools to measure performance and highlight variances
- Produce schedule artifacts and status reports for program leadership and support corrective actions where needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive schedule mitigation and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in program planning, project management, industrial engineering, or a similar planning function — OR a Master’s degree with entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project
- Demonstrated experience with schedule analysis, critical-path assessment, and basic risk analysis
- Able to work a hybrid schedule in San Diego, CA
- Ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions that require a government clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and reporting
- Experience with Deltek Cobra and Deltek Acumen Risk
- Excel Macro / VBA skills for schedule and data automation
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (San Diego, CA): $83,400 — $125,200 per year (final offer commensurate with experience and aligned to geographic pay bands)
