What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst to support program leadership in planning, scheduling, and tracking major engineering and manufacturing efforts. The role focuses on developing integrated plans, identifying scheduling risks and dependencies, and communicating schedule status to cross-functional teams.
- Prepare, develop and coordinate the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives
- Ensure schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
- Track plans and schedules, perform schedule risk analysis, and identify/resolve critical-path and network logic conflicts
- Use Gantt charts, PERT, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and other project controls tools to monitor progress and highlight variances
- Support corrective actions, schedule re-sequencing, and cross-discipline coordination to keep program milestones on track
- Produce regular schedule status reports and support program reviews and gate reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in program planning, project management, industrial engineering or a similar planning function — OR a Master’s degree with entry-level experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and Microsoft Project
- Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule; the hiring location for this posting is Palmdale, CA
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (may require U.S. citizenship for clearance-eligible roles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and metrics
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros/VBA
- Experience with Deltek Cobra and Deltek Acumen Risk (or similar cost & schedule analysis tools)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Primary salary range: $83,400 - $125,200 per year (final offer commensurate with experience, location, and internal pay bands)
- Eligible for overtime, shift differential or discretionary/annual bonuses depending on role
