Overview

Confidential Client seeks a part-time Program Educator (Letter of Appointment; 19 hours/week) to support student conduct education and administrative operations within the Office of Student Conduct. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based educational interventions, engaging students in reflective conversations, supporting outreach and assessment, and providing clerical and reception support to strengthen student success, retention, and well‑being.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate one-on-one interventions including BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening Intervention for College Students), CASICS (Cannabis Screening Intervention for College Students), SHIFT (Student High Risk Intervention for First‑Time Alcohol Violations), and the Decision‑Making and Accountability Workshop.
  • Engage students in reflective, harm-reduction conversations that promote accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Provide timely feedback to supervisory staff and referral partners when students may need additional services (mental health, sexual assault resources, substance use services, academic assistance, housing/food supports).
  • Conduct assigned research and program analysis to support continuous improvement of student conduct education and operations.
  • Support outreach events and help create/update flyers and digital informational materials.
  • Provide administrative support: open/close case files, scan documents, maintain accurate records, assist with grading written assignments, and staff the front desk, including multi-line phone reception.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality and comply with privacy protocols (e.g., FERPA, Title IX).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in clerical support, customer service, or a related administrative role.
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering educational content, curriculum, or facilitating learning in individual or group settings.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment (computers, scanners, multi-line phone systems, copiers).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
  • Aptitude for accurate documentation, case notes, and reporting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; active listening and empathetic interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following applicable privacy protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building rapport with college-age students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated success supporting students experiencing mental health concerns, sexual assault, substance use issues, academic challenges, or basic-needs insecurity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and master new systems quickly.
  • Skill assessing student needs, identifying risks, asking clarifying questions, and making informed recommendations.

Schedule & Location

  • 19 hours per week; Monday–Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; scheduled hours may be adjusted depending on organizational needs.
  • On-site role located in Reno, NV.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $22.00 per hour (LOA hourly).
  • Eligible for a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, retirement options, and educational benefits consistent with LOA appointments.
