Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Program Cost Controls Analyst (hybrid). This role provides hands-on exposure to program cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting tools (SAP/APEX, Business Warehouse, Rplan). The position supports a portfolio of programs within Program Controls and Product Support; ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of relevant experience who want foundational experience in finance and program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial support across program lifecycles — from proposal costing to mature-phase budgeting, Inter-Organizational Transfers (IOT), baseline creation, sales forecasting, billing projections, and variance analysis.
- Support Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities.
- Assist with Annual Operating Plan preparation using business planning tools (Rplan).
- Use SAP/APEX and Business Warehouse for financial reporting and analysis of funding profiles, bookings, sales, and earnings outlook.
- Produce variance and forecasting analysis to inform program leadership and finance stakeholders.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced finance team; manage multiple tasks and take initiative on assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related business field.
- Less than 2 years of relevant experience (entry-level).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience or coursework in variance analysis and/or forecasting.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contractual and system access requirements.

Work Model & Location
- This is a hybrid role (onsite & remote). The preferred candidate will support teams in U.S. Eastern or Central time zones.
- Preferred, but not required, candidates will be located within a commutable distance to Andover, MA; McKinney, TX; or Portsmouth, RI. The authoritative location for this posting is Portsmouth, RI.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year.
- Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance programs, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits depend on business unit and employment terms.
