Role summary

This is an on-site, entry-level Graduate Professional Development (rotational) program based at the Confidential Client's corporate location in Sharonville, OH. The ~18‑month program includes multiple rotations across Product Development, Analytical Laboratory Services, Raw Material Management, and Operations. The program is designed for December 2026 graduates (start January 2027) or recent graduates seeking hands‑on training in R&D and manufacturing support functions.

What you’ll do

The program provides structured rotational assignments to develop practical laboratory, development, and operations experience. Typical responsibilities across rotations include:

• Potential Rotation — Product Development / Research

  • Assist with ideation, feasibility studies, and formulation development for assigned application areas
  • Support planning, execution, and documentation of lab research projects
  • Maintain accurate lab notebooks and handle confidential technical information
  • Participate in new product commercialization, BOM and SDS review, and scale-up observations
  • Help define and implement test procedures for performance monitoring

• Potential Rotation — Analytical Laboratory

  • Perform analytical testing using established lab methods on internal and customer samples
  • Meet testing turnaround expectations and departmental metrics
  • Maintain calibration, certification, and equipment maintenance records
  • Assist with analytical method development, data interpretation, and summarizing results for stakeholders
  • Prepare samples for third‑party testing and OEM submissions as needed

• Potential Rotation — Raw Material Management

  • Support evaluation and qualification of alternate raw materials to improve cost, performance, or continuity
  • Collaborate with R&D and Supply Chain on sourcing and documentation for material changes
  • Track data and maintain related documentation for raw material qualification

• Potential Rotation — Operations / Manufacturing

  • Observe and support manufacturing and blending operations to learn production processes
  • Assist with scale-up of new formulations and troubleshooting off-spec materials
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects
  • Partner with Buying, Scheduling, and Production teams to derive actionable improvements

• Optional Rotation (business needs): Off-site laboratory or partner location to support local testing/production

Minimum qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in laboratory work, applied science, or product development
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel for rotations, training, or customer support as needed

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline (required)

• Estimated annual pay shown in the source listing: $46,918 per year (estimated)
