What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers to support production and process engineering functions at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. You will apply engineering fundamentals to manufacturing and production environments, working with experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals.

  • Perform engineering duties in support of material and end-item production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production delays (procurement, part quality, equipment issues)
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation: SOPs, technical data packages, specifications, equipment/facility drawings, and P&IDs
  • Perform engineering calculations (mass & energy balances, heat transfer, pump sizing) to support process and equipment decisions
  • Assist with development, documentation, and optimization of manufacturing processes
  • Use data analysis and engineering principles to improve process efficiency, quality, and reliability
  • Support process development, testing, validation, and implementation activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
  • 0–2 years of professional experience (early-career / entry-level)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required)
  • Strong organizational, planning, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks with limited supervision
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and statistical analysis for data compilation and presentation
  • Coursework or experience in hazard analyses, risk assessments, SOPs, and technical documentation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen (position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations)
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $83,000 - $100,000 per year
  • Full-time position with benefits including health & dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, FSA options, generous 401(k) plan, profit sharing, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid holidays, sick leave, and paid vacation (details vary by location and tenure)
