What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers to support production and process engineering work at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. These roles let early-career engineers apply academic training to manufacturing and production environments while working with experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals.

• Perform engineering duties in support of material and end-item production
• Identify and resolve production delays (procurement, material/part quality, equipment issues)
• Prepare, review, and edit technical documentation (SOPs, product technical data packages, specifications, equipment/facility drawings, P&IDs)
• Perform engineering calculations for process design, mass/energy balances, heat transfer, and pump sizing
• Assist in developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Use data analysis and engineering principles to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability
• Support process development, testing, validation, and implementation
• Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, and work instructions
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

Candidates should be early-career engineers with strong fundamentals and a readiness to learn in a production environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in aerospace, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
• 0–2 years of professional experience (entry-level)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required)
• Strong organizational and planning skills; excellent written and verbal communication
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic statistical/data analysis
• Coursework or experience in hazard analyses, risk assessments, SOPs, or related technical documentation
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen (position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations)

Location & Work Environment

• Onsite at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head — Indian Head, MD (Charles County)
• Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA
• Work is with manufacturing/production teams in a regulated, safety-focused environment; requires adherence to government and facility policies
