What You’ll Do

The Production Planner I is an entry-level production planning role focused on creating and maintaining efficient production schedules, aligning materials, resources, and labor to meet production goals, and supporting cross-functional teams to keep manufacturing on track.

  • Create and maintain production schedules using MRP/ERP tools and scheduling software.
  • Monitor production progress and update schedules to address delays or resource constraints.
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to ensure materials and resources are available when needed.
  • Support inventory control and help reconcile discrepancies between production plans and inventory levels.
  • Analyze basic production data and KPIs to identify scheduling improvements and resource optimization opportunities.
  • Assist senior planners with documentation, production planning policies, and continuous improvement activities (Lean Manufacturing practices).
  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for production-related issues; escalate when necessary.
  • Prepare clear status updates and share scheduling information with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Entry-level: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Basic competency with MS Excel; experience with MS Project or scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications (nice to have)

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or similar.
  • APICS (CPIM or related) certification.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau for basic data analysis and reporting.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range (listed): $60,773.00 - $83,561.75 per year.

Your actual base compensation will be set case-by-case and may vary based on relevant skills, experience, education, and market factors.
