What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level Production Planner role supporting a confidential client’s operations in Fremont, CA. You will help keep production on schedule by maintaining production plans, tracking inventory and work orders, coordinating across teams, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This is a hands-on, onsite position that offers exposure to ERP systems and operational processes — ideal for someone starting a career in manufacturing, supply chain, or production planning.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory needs.
  • Release, monitor, and follow up on work orders to support on-time production and shipments.
  • Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
  • Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or potential delays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify material shortages that could impact production.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and transactions in the ERP system.
  • Generate regular reports and assist in analyzing production performance and inventory trends.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with basic forecasting and capacity planning tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning and operational processes.
  • Ensure planning activities align with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or scheduling.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Internship, coursework, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, logistics, or inventory control.
  • Familiarity with production planning concepts and manufacturing environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • For candidates in California: The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $144,500 annually (exempt).
  • Pay is based on role, level, location, and individual factors such as experience and skills. Specific offer details will be shared during the hiring process.
  • Benefits typically include medical, dental, and vision options, paid time off, and paid holidays. A benefits summary will be provided during interviews.
