Role Overview

The Confidential Client is hiring a Production Operations Analyst to support daily production and inventory processes at their Meriden, CT facility. This entry-level to early-career role owns day-to-day MRP activity in BatchMaster (or similar ERP/MRP systems), helps run the daily reorder process, and delivers timely reporting and analytics using traditional tools and AI-assisted workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and interested in growing into production planning, supply chain, and operations analytics.

What You’ll Do

  • Own daily BatchMaster (MRP) tasks: create, schedule, release, close production batches and work orders aligned to the production plan.
  • Record production output, ingredient usage, yields, and waste accurately and on time.
  • Process inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments) and shipments to stores.
  • Maintain master data (items, formulas/recipes, BOMs, UOMs, vendor records) with oversight from the Senior Manager.
  • Reconcile system inventory to physical counts; support cycle counts and month-end inventory close and resolve variances.
  • Maintain lot tracking and traceability to meet food safety and recall readiness requirements.
  • Troubleshoot user issues, liaise with BatchMaster support, and escalate system problems when needed.
  • Create and update BatchMaster SOPs, job aids, and train production team members on system procedures.
  • Support BatchMaster rollout activities: testing new features, modules, and configuration changes.
  • Assist with the daily reorder process: review inventory levels, usage, open orders, and forecasts to recommend order quantities.
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders; confirm acknowledgements and delivery dates with vendors and distributors.
  • Track open POs, follow up on late/short deliveries, and communicate impacts to production and store teams.
  • Maintain par levels, reorder points, vendor lead times, and minimum order quantities as volumes change.
  • Match receipts to POs and support invoice reconciliation with Accounting.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports and dashboards on production output, inventory on hand, usage, yield, waste, and order status.
  • Use AI-assisted tools and Excel/Sheets to simplify reporting and provide real-time, actionable insights to management.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Store Operations, Culinary, and Finance to keep information flowing and orders on track.
  • Document processes and suggest improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, analytics, or related field preferred — or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, purchasing, supply chain, or data analysis; food manufacturing, bakery, commissary, or QSR experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with and building simple AI interfaces for analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP or inventory management system (BatchMaster, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) a plus.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accurate data entry and record keeping.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to turn data into clear, useful insights.
  • Strong organization and time management to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving curiosity and persistence to investigate inventory and system discrepancies.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication with internal teams and vendors.
  • Eagerness to learn new systems and take feedback to grow within the role.
  • Passion for operations, emerging brands, and delivering great execution in production and supply chain.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a computer workstation.
  • Regular walking through production and warehouse areas, including cold storage.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally for inventory counts or supplies.
  • Clear communication in person and via digital channels.
  • Minimal travel; occasional visits to production facilities, vendors, or stores as needed.
  • Work operates in both office and production settings. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend hours may be required to support production schedules, inventory counts, or month-end close.

  • This position may evolve over time; duties and responsibilities can be added or removed at the client's discretion.

  • The Confidential Client is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
