Product Manager
The Product Manager at Confidential Client is responsible for owning and optimizing the end-to-end checkout and post-purchase experience, including payments, order management, and returns. This role leads cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch to deliver seamless, conversion-optimized transactional experiences aligned with customer needs and business goals. The position requires strong project management, technical knowledge, and customer obsession to drive continuous improvements and manage vendor relationships.

Position Overview
The Product Manager will own the end-to-end checkout and post-purchase experience for a confidential client in the retail apparel and fashion industry, including checkout flow, payments, order management, returns & exchanges, and order tracking. You will lead initiatives from discovery through launch and continuous optimization to deliver reliable, conversion-optimized transactional experiences that align with customer expectations and business goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the checkout & post-purchase product roadmap (checkout flow, payments, order management, returns/exchanges, tracking).
- Lead roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution of initiatives that drive conversion and payment success.
- Identify friction across the checkout funnel and post-purchase journey and implement solutions to reduce drop-off.
- Manage features end-to-end from intake through launch, including requirements, dependency mapping, and QA/testing.
- Partner with Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure smooth order lifecycle execution.
- Act as the customer advocate—use data, user feedback, and support insights to inform prioritization and improvements.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as checkout conversion, payment authorization rates, refund/return rates, and order issue trends.
- Serve as an escalation point for checkout and order-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and clear cross-team communication.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party vendors and tools for payments, fraud prevention, order management, and returns.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably with ecommerce transactional flows.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated track record shipping cross-functional programs and improving measurable business outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong program and technical project management skills; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Experience with A/B testing, iterative optimization, and measurement-driven product decisions.
- Working knowledge of front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with PCI compliance, payment systems, and web accessibility best practices and testing.
- Experience managing vendor relationships (payments, fraud, OMS, returns).
- Analytical mindset: comfortable using data to diagnose issues and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
- Customer obsession—passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
- Collaborative team player willing to jump in where needed to achieve outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $105,000 – $135,000 per year (full-time, exempt).
- Compensation will be determined by candidate qualifications, skills, and experience.
