What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Product Manager focused on Personal Auto Insurance Pricing. In this role you will own state-level product and pricing performance, lead rate and rule filing work, and collaborate across underwriting, claims, IT, legal, and distribution to optimize profitability and growth.

  • Own the profitability and performance of assigned personal auto states through pricing, product and regulatory strategies
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve loss ratios, retention, and premium growth through rate and product adjustments
  • Lead development and submission of rate and rule filings (e.g., SERFF) and manage regulatory communications
  • Monitor product performance metrics (loss ratios, retention, premium growth) and implement approved adjustments
  • Partner with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Legal and vendor teams to design and implement product features and operational processes
  • Conduct market, competitor and agent/producer analysis to inform pricing and product decisions
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for audits, market conduct reviews and regulatory examinations
  • Drive initiatives to explore adjacent opportunities (telematics, rideshare, small-commercial auto, new jurisdiction entry) and support strategic projects

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of product management, pricing, actuarial or related experience, ideally with an automobile insurance focus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; attention to detail and sound problem-solving
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar)
  • Working knowledge of insurance rate filings, regulatory rules and SERFF submissions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical analysis to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

  • Prior experience at a carrier or with non-standard auto insurance products
  • Familiarity with actuarial pricing approaches and loss-ratio management
  • Exposure to telematics, usage-based insurance or small-commercial auto
  • Experience using product management and regulatory filing systems

Location & Schedule

  • Primary work location: Mount Prospect, IL (on-site expected)
  • Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime business hours (Confidential Client operates 8:00 am–5:00 pm CST)
  • Occasional travel and meetings with regulators, vendors, or partner offices as needed
