Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Product Manager to own products end-to-end within their AI-focused product suite. You will regularly speak with users and customers, prioritize what to build (and what not to build), write clear specs engineers can implement, prototype with AI tools when helpful, and track product metrics after launch. This is a builder-forward role: you’ll contribute to code and design directly in addition to driving strategy.

Compensation

Confidential Client provides a base salary range of $100,000 to $175,000 per year, plus a performance bonus of up to 100% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

How We Expect You To Work

AI use is core to how the team executes. You will use AI daily to analyze usage data, draft specs, and build prototypes — and you’ll be judged on what you keep from that output, not how much you generated. Tools change quickly; staying current and pragmatic about tool choice is part of the role.

What You Will Do

• Talk to users and customers every week — real conversations grounded in real usage data.
• Turn messy signals (usage data, support tickets, sales requests, interviews) into a ranked plan for what to build next.
• Clearly explain what will not be built and why, even when under pressure from stakeholders.
• Write specs engineers can build from without follow-up: outcomes, in/out of scope, human-in-the-loop points, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Prototype core flows yourself (wireframes, clickable mocks, or working demos) when demos settle debates faster than decks.
• Contribute to code and design directly: ship small features or fixes, mock screens, and hand engineers running artifacts when useful.
• Partner with design, delivery, and engineering on solutions and delivery timelines.
• Present roadmaps and tradeoffs to funding stakeholders and defend priority decisions under pushback.
• Ship features, monitor post-launch metrics, and act on what the data shows.

Requirements

• Highly organized across multiple priorities and open questions.
• Strong, pragmatic judgment about what to build next and what not to build.
• Clear, plain writing: specs and decisions others can act on without follow-up.
• AI-fluent: you use AI daily to sort signal, draft specs, and prototype, and can judge output quality.
• Comfortable contributing to code and design directly, using AI tools to move faster.
• Comfortable making and defending priority decisions under pressure, or changing them with clear rationale.
• 1+ years of product management experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• On-site in New York, NY.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

• Experience with a B2B product used by operational or compliance functions.
• Comfort reading usage data or managing a support queue.
• Exposure to regulated industries (financial services, insurance, healthcare, legal).
• Prior 0-to-1 or early-stage product experience.
