What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Product Manager to own the development and lifecycle of consumer appliance products. You will lead product planning, market research, project coordination, and the creation of customer-facing product support materials. This is a cross-functional role that requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple product developments.

  • Assemble and complete new product planning sheets by coordinating product specs, strategies, timelines, target costs, and competitor analysis.
  • Create product support items such as show samples, operation & installation instructions, specification sheets, and other product documentation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed development schedules (Gantt charts) covering agency approvals, first lot orders, tooling, show samples, and printed material.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams for both internal and external stakeholders during development.
  • Prepare for and participate in new product release meetings to ensure Marketing, Sales, and Product Planning tasks are complete.
  • Contribute to pilot run, preproduction review, and authorization meetings to verify parts, quality, and customer requirements before launch.
  • Participate in PSI and Product Planning meetings; monitor plan vs. actual production and customer sales; propose ideas for future products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support on-time, on-spec product launches.

Qualifications

Confidential Client values relevant experience, clear communication, and the ability to drive projects from concept to market.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable product management or product planning experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining development schedules (Gantt charts).
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing).
  • Excellent written skills for creating product literature and support materials.
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to product quality and launch readiness.
  • Comfortable prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Location & Schedule

  • Job Location: Memphis, TN (on-site)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • This role requires regular on-site presence to coordinate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
