Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Product Manager (Product Manager I) to support planning, execution, and lifecycle management for assigned product lines in the medical equipment manufacturing space. This role partners with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and QA/Regulatory Affairs to deliver product requirements, launch readiness, and ongoing product improvements. The role is based in Greer, SC and is full-time.
What You’ll Do
- Execute product portfolio plans and support lifecycle strategies established by leadership
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to maintain, improve, and launch products
- Gather, document, and communicate customer, market, and sales requirements
- Assist in evaluating product opportunities, customer requests, and field issues
- Develop product requirements, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, action items, and status updates
- Partner with Supply Chain to identify and qualify products, suppliers, and components
- Work closely with QA/RA to understand regulatory considerations and testing needs
- Support supplier and contractor relationships through routine communication and issue resolution
- Participate in product verification activities, evaluations, and testing to ensure conformance
- Coordinate product samples and provide information for marketing, sales, and customer evaluations
- Assist with new product launches to ensure cross-functional readiness and completion of deliverables
- Investigate product issues and coordinate corrective actions
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for management
- Proactively identify risks, obstacles, and opportunities and recommend solutions
Authority & Accountability
- Research, analyze, and consolidate information to develop business and product plans
- This role has no direct reports
- Provide appropriate products for evaluation by external users to enhance performance
- Identify and communicate quality criteria for product files and procurement
- Conduct periodic reviews and sampling of products to ensure applicable standards and compliance
- Ensure product-related materials (literature, marketing collateral, website content) are current
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, Business, or related technical field preferred
- Experience:
- 2+ years in product management preferred; program management or engineering experience considered
- Experience with at least one significant product launch preferred
- Knowledge of product development within healthcare, medical devices, textiles, or tactical/acute care is a plus
- Proven track record working with cross-functional teams
- Skills & Characteristics:
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving and action-oriented mindset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Working Conditions & Travel
- Full-time: must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, generally 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or similar schedule
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Physical: typical office demands (frequent sitting, standing, walking); occasional lifting or moving over 50 lbs.; reasonable accommodations available
- Environment: moderately loud work environment
- Travel: up to 10% travel expected
