What You’ll Do

This role is for a Product Manager focused on execution and order-entry products at a confidential client in the Financial Services industry (Chicago, IL). You will own pieces of the execution domain from discovery through delivery — building high-reliability, low-friction trading interfaces and routing systems used by trade desks, compliance teams, and end users placing market orders.

  • Partner closely with trading desks, issuers, and customers to gather requirements, latency and liquidity needs, and translate them into clear product & technical specs.
  • Design and prioritize features for order entry, routing and execution workflows to minimize friction, reduce errors, and increase throughput.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to deliver fast, intuitive web-based trading interfaces (OMS/EMS integrations).
  • Maintain deep product knowledge of market microstructure, liquidity trends, and relevant regulation to keep execution features competitive and compliant.
  • Manage the technical scope with engineers across the full SDLC and ensure successful feature delivery.
  • Drive go-to-market activities for new execution features, partnering with Sales and Marketing to communicate value to institutional and retail clients.
  • Continuously engage customers and stakeholders to validate requirements and iterate on product improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience in capital markets, trading, or fintech.
  • Direct experience building or integrating Order Management Systems (OMS) or Execution Management Systems (EMS).
  • Strong working knowledge of the trade lifecycle: order entry, routing, execution, and settlement.
  • Experience designing customer-facing web platforms and trading UIs.
  • Familiarity with product tools such as Jira, Miro, GitHub, Figma, or similar.
  • Technical understanding of software development and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering teams and present to stakeholders.
  • Experience owning product work through the full SDLC.
  • Adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing market conditions and compliance requirements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Prior exposure to market microstructure, liquidity providers, or exchange connectivity.
  • Experience in institutional trading workflows or working directly with trade desks.
  • Background in SaaS product delivery for financial services.

  • Eligibility for an annual bonus based on personal and business objectives.
