Overview
Confidential Client designs, develops, and manufactures critical components and subsystems for commercial aviation and defense platforms. As a Product Manager, you will own identification and orchestration of business opportunities with customers across the end-to-end value stream — from market analysis and pricing to proposal generation and customer communication. This role is based in El Segundo, CA and works closely with engineering, operations, and business development teams.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify product, contract, and market-expansion opportunities.
- Prepare and submit product proposals to customers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance) to manage proposals and contracts through approval.
- Maintain organized records of contract correspondence, modifications, and compliance documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers in commercial and government organizations.
- Develop market intelligence briefs to inform M&A and strategic business initiatives.
- Draft policy memos, white papers, and executive briefing materials to support strategic decisions.
- Become a subject-matter expert in relevant government and commercial industry standards and regulations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, economics, public policy, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, government contracting, or other communication-intensive, high-stakes professional environments.
- Demonstrated track record of high performance in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce polished, executive-level deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and competing deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with commercial aviation acquisition and supply chain processes.
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or similar) in a field that involves complex contractual or regulatory requirements.
- Interest or prior experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 USD.
