Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the HVAC product lifecycle for its Industrial Machinery Manufacturing business in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. As a third‑party recruiter representing this search, Careertakes is looking for a candidate who combines HVAC domain knowledge with product strategy, cross‑functional execution, and data driven decision‑making. This role focuses on market research, product roadmap development, specifications with engineering, and go‑to‑market collaboration with marketing and sales.
What You’ll Do
- Lead product lifecycle from discovery through launch and post‑launch optimization for HVAC products.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
- Build and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize features, and define success metrics.
- Write clear product specifications and work closely with engineering to deliver on time and on spec.
- Partner with marketing and sales to create positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
- Analyze sales, warranty, and customer feedback data to recommend product improvements and profitability actions.
- Communicate product strategy and status to stakeholders and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally with HVAC or related mechanical product lines.
- Practical understanding of HVAC systems and industry market dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform product decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Experience with retail trade, consumer products, or distribution channels for industrial products.
- Familiarity with project management tools and agile delivery methodologies.
Skills & Tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Product roadmap development and prioritization.
- Experience with market research and customer needs assessment.
- Project management and basic familiarity with tools like Jira, Asana, or similar.
- Knowledge of HVAC technology, components, and relevant standards.
Location & Work Arrangement
- Onsite or hybrid work in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex (TX). Specific onsite expectations will be set by the Confidential Client.
- Travel may be required for supplier meetings, field validation, or trade events.
