About the Team & Product

The Benefits product team builds intuitive, guided experiences that simplify benefits selection and administration for small businesses. You’ll join a product organization that operates at the intersection of HR, finance, and compliance — shipping both customer-facing experiences and the internal platform that supports them. As a Product Manager on this team you’ll partner with engineering, design, data, operations, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-impact features that help small businesses attract and retain talent.

About the Role

The Product Manager, Benefits will drive roadmap decisions and own end-to-end delivery for initiatives that simplify benefits selection and administration. You’ll scope work with research-backed cases, prioritize cross-functional work, and balance customer-facing outcomes with platform reliability and scalability. You will operate independently within your scope, clearly communicate tradeoffs, and remove blockers so your team can deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ownership for the products you build and ship services that scale reliably.
  • Shape strategy and the roadmap for key Benefits initiatives; communicate a clear vision of business impact to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to investigate and prioritize issues and build technical understanding.
  • Run discovery and delivery activities across the product development lifecycle (PDLC).
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships through curiosity, empathy, and customer-centered partnership.
  • Contribute to team problem-solving and support or facilitate team processes and ceremonies.
  • Take on opportunities beyond core responsibilities to support product strategy and drive impact.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 2 years of product management experience in a modern technology company, or equivalent experience in software engineering, data science, or business analytics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to decompose complex problems into actionable work for a product team.
  • A willingness to learn the fundamentals of the business model through interviews with coworkers, customers, and prospects.
  • Deep user empathy and a high bar for user experience.
  • Excellent persuasion and advocacy skills, including story‑telling, frameworks, and first‑principles reasoning.
  • Strong technical acumen is a plus.
  • Prior experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., fintech or healthcare) is a plus.
