Product Manager 2
The Product Manager 2 is an intermediate-level role responsible for managing products that serve diverse audiences to support the mission of the Church. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, balancing stakeholder requirements, leading cross-functional teams, and managing the entire product lifecycle from planning to retirement. The position requires strong project execution, vendor coordination, and experience with enterprise technology implementations in a hybrid work environment based in Salt Lake City.

What You’ll Do
This is an intermediate Product Manager role responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting enterprise product capabilities that meet customer needs and business objectives. You will act as the product ambassador across cross-functional teams to maximize product value and adoption for targeted audiences.
- Understand unmet customer and audience needs, preferences, pain points, and business objectives
- Balance stakeholder requirements with customer needs while aligning product investments to organizational priorities
- Establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of product requirements; partner with Product Owners to define product vision, objectives, and roadmaps
- Prioritize initiatives to maximize product value and business outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, engineering, service departments, and vendors
- Manage the full product lifecycle: planning, implementation, enhancement, adoption, support, and retirement
- Lead product launch and adoption efforts for targeted audiences
- Develop product communications, messaging, and positioning for key audiences
- Establish, monitor, and report product success metrics, customer adoption, and operational outcomes
- Collaborate with business analysts, development teams, and vendors to translate requirements into product capabilities
- Support product governance, continuous improvement, and business process optimization
- Manage inventory levels and supply/demand considerations where applicable
Who You Are
You are a proactive, organized product professional with experience delivering enterprise technology solutions and coordinating multiple vendors and workstreams. You communicate clearly and hold teams accountable while escalating risks early.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline (required)
- ~5 years of related experience with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with broad business impact
- Strong project execution and schedule management skills
- Proactive ownership and follow-through; self-starter who drives work to completion
- Proven stakeholder and vendor coordination experience
- Risk, issue, and scope management expertise
- Dependency management / systems thinking approach
- Clear, concise communication and escalation skills
- Experience managing large enterprise technology implementations
- Experience coordinating multiple vendors/workstreams
- Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management methodologies
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable holding internal and vendor teams accountable
- Able to identify and escalate risks, roadblocks, and scope creep early
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree
- Knowledge of data governance, reporting, and business process improvement methodologies
- Experience leading enterprise technology implementations and operational transformations
- Experience with TRIRIGA, IWMS, facilities, or real estate technology
