Product Experience Specialist
The Product Experience Specialist supports the testing, validation, and improvement of Confidential Client's new and updated security products by collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer-facing touch points. This entry-level role involves assisting with product launches, gathering and analyzing customer feedback, and participating in prototype testing to ensure superior user experience, while receiving training and mentorship to develop expertise in product experience and engineering.

What You’ll Do
The Product Experience Specialist is an entry-level role supporting customer-focused testing, validation, and launch activities for new and updated physical + connected products. You will work with product development, technical services, and field teams to surface real customer issues and help define improvements to product interfaces and install experiences.
- Assist in communicating customer interface and experience-based concerns to project teams
- Support the creation and delivery of product training materials under guidance
- Help identify and verify customer experience issues with new or updated products
- Review historical customer feedback to help baseline product attributes
- Assist in defining product experience requirements with engineering and product management
- Participate in early prototype testing and scenario-based validations
- Apply UI/UX best practices and promote design guidance across product lines
- Support on-site product validations and installation use-case testing (with supervision)
- Train with and assist Field Specialist associates to broaden Product Experience coverage
- Help expand and manage alpha/beta test sites as directed
- Work collaboratively with local, U.S.-based, and international teams (primarily remote)
- Learn to manage multiple projects and priorities with mentoring and support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE, EET, CE, CET, ME, MET), Informatics, or related field — recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Internship, coursework, or project experience with electronic locking, security, or customer experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi product connectivity (classroom projects or internships acceptable)
- Interest in access control and electronic security systems
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic computer tools
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn to use small hand tools
- Good oral and written communication; ability to explain technical solutions in customer-friendly language
- Empathy for installers and end-users; ability to capture and clearly document customer concerns
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to a customer-centric culture
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Confidential Client does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B, TN).
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is posted for multiple work arrangements:
- Primary location: Carmel, Indiana — Hybrid (on-site + remote as required)
- Remote options available for candidates located within New Jersey or Colorado (candidates must reside in the state to report to local offices when required)
Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range provided by the Confidential Client: $54,000 to $75,000 per year. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience, consistent with applicable law.
