Role overview

Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Product Experience Specialist to support product testing, customer-facing validation, and early-stage product launches. This role partners with Product Development, Technical Services, and Field Specialists to capture customer feedback, help define product experience requirements, and document opportunities for improvement. The position offers training and mentorship and is a strong fit for recent engineering or informatics graduates interested in electronic security and access control products.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in communicating customer interface and experience-based concerns to project teams
  • Support the creation and delivery of product training materials under guidance
  • Help identify and verify customer experience issues with new or updated products
  • Review historical customer feedback with supervision to help baseline product attributes
  • Assist in defining product experience requirements with engineering and product management teams
  • Participate in early prototype product testing and scenario-based validations with support
  • Promote design guidelines and UI/UX best practices as learned
  • Help drive common features across products to improve user experience
  • Support customer experience validations with product installations and use cases, under supervision
  • Train with and assist Field Specialist associates to extend Product Experience support
  • Help expand alpha/beta test sites as directed
  • Work collaboratively with local, US-based, and international teams, primarily remotely
  • Learn to manage multiple projects and priorities with guidance

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE, EET, CE, CET, ME, MET), Informatics, or a related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Internship or coursework related to electronic locking, security, or customer experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi product connectivity (academic projects or internships are fine)
  • Interest in the access control and electronic security industry
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to learn about electromechanical locking devices, gateway/bridge communication, access control, mobile apps, POE power, and cloud components
  • Good communication and presentation skills with a willingness to develop further
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn to use small hand tools
  • Ability to communicate solutions in customer-friendly language and capture customer concerns clearly
  • Empathy for customer experiences during installation and use
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to a customer-centric culture

Location & Work Model

Position location: Carmel, IN (hybrid). Remote work options available for candidates residing in New Jersey or Colorado; those remote candidates must reside in the stated state and be available to report to local offices when required. Travel up to 25% may be required for installations, site validations, or field training.

Compensation

  • The expected base salary range: $54,000 to $75,000 per year. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
