Role overview

This entry-level Product Engineer I role supports actuator product development and production documentation for a confidential client in the Engineering sector. You will create CAD drawings and production packages, generate bills of materials (BOMs), support manufacturing with assembly/test instructions, and work with cross-functional teams to implement engineering changes.


What you’ll do

  • Develop actuator production/order packages that follow the order specification and capture technical requirements
  • Create customer-specific actuator layout drawings using CAD (SolidWorks)
  • Design custom adaptation hardware and components in CAD
  • Generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and create new part records in the ERP system
  • Produce special assembly and testing instructions for operations
  • Interface with manufacturing to support assembly and troubleshooting
  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) under guidance when needed
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders on a job-specific basis

Qualifications

  • Entry-level: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks (CAD) required
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems for BOM creation
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and communicate technical concepts clearly with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to support occasional shop-floor activities and limited travel

Working conditions

Office-based role with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments. No strenuous physical labor required. Must follow company safety policies and procedures.


Compensation & benefits

  • Hourly range: $27.69 - $34.61 per hour (depending on experience)
