  • Plan and execute validation tests and performance evaluations; document results and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Design, build, and refine prototypes, test fixtures, mockups, and validation assemblies; provide hands-on support during pilot builds and product qualification.
  • Create and revise assembly procedures, installation documentation, engineering change requests/orders (ECRs/ECOs), and technical specifications for production and product support.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, test technicians, and external partners to evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support product compliance activities and maintain accurate test records in coordination with Quality and subject-matter experts.
  • Communicate project status, technical risks, design changes, and development milestones to stakeholders.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, field performance data, and testing results into product improvements.
  • Consider sustainability principles in design work, including material selection, waste reduction, durability, and recyclability.

Skills & Experience

Minimum qualifications and skills required for success:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with testing methods, DOE, statistical analysis, or FEA is a plus.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and interest in fabrication, prototyping, testing, and product validation.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work, and meet deadlines with guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite for analysis and documentation.
