What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Procurement Associate to support category management and procurement operations for regional and local portfolios. This role provides hands-on experience across spend analysis, RFx activities, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and procurement database maintenance.

• Support category analytics and spend analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and build simple business cases
• Lead RFx (RFI/RFQ/RFP) activities for medium- to low-value spend, including preparing packages and managing follow-ups
• Assist with contract administration and simple contract variations or statements of work
• Perform transactional/operational procurement tasks and support supplier due diligence during selection and onboarding
• Maintain procurement databases (contracts, spend, supplier) and support data accuracy
• Track and coordinate project plans, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Support cash-flow program communications and supplier assurance activities
• Identify process improvements and help document workflows and procedures

What We’re Looking For

External Basic Qualifications — required

• Bachelor’s degree completed by June 30 of the program year
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (SUM, charts, sorting, basic formatting)
• Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills (themes, image insertion, slide formatting)
• Intermediate Microsoft Word skills (headers, page breaks, tables)

Preferred

• Experience with procurement / contract databases (e.g., Smart by GEP)
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle purchasing systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good project coordination and multi-tasking abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration skills

Compensation & Benefits

The posting includes a salary range to promote pay transparency. Actual pay offered will depend on geography, experience, skills, education, and other relevant factors.

• Target salary range (annual): $63,100 — $101,200 (USD)
• Employment type: Full-time

• Work location: Bannockburn, IL (onsite / regional support)
• Job function: Finance / Accounting
