What You’ll Do
As a Process Risk Experienced Associate with our confidential client you will help clients identify, assess, and address business risk and internal control matters across operational, financial and technology processes. Typical responsibilities include:
- Review operational, financial, and technology processes to assess business risk, internal controls, and process effectiveness
- Perform testing of internal controls and evaluate control design and operating effectiveness (including Sarbanes‑Oxley Section 404 related work)
- Execute financial, operational, and system audits and business process control reviews
- Gather information and maintain strong working relationships with client management and staff at all levels
- Collaborate with managers and partners to identify and resolve client issues promptly
- Communicate findings clearly—both verbally and in writing—to clients and internal stakeholders
- Adhere to professional standards and strict client confidentiality
- Understand and manage firm and engagement risk on audits and proposals
- Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization) and deliver quality work on schedule
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
We want candidates who combine audit/risk fundamentals with curiosity about controls and technology. Required and preferred skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in consulting or a risk/compliance function supporting cross‑industry clients
- Experience performing audits, process reviews, and internal control testing
- Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) Section 404 experience preferred
- Familiarity with audit‑prep software and an understanding of how technology affects controls
- Strong client service orientation, communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast‑paced team environment
- Desire to pursue professional credentials (CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM) preferred
- Ability to travel as needed for client work
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $90,000 to $108,675 (placement within the range is at the Confidential Client’s discretion and depends on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity)
